Steven Swaine
Foreman

Steven joined Apple Island Marine in 1999 and is a third generation boat builder.  His dedication to quality and detail contibutes to the success of each vessel.  Steve's outgoing personality results in a good working relationship with our customers.  He is a valued member and key contributor to our team. Steven is a volunteer fire fighter and in his spare time, he enjoys fishing and hunting. 
Blair Goulden
Hardware/Mechanical Specialist

Blair's main responsibility is the installation of hardware and designing engine room layout and in our opinion, he is one of the best in his field. His attention to detail, careful planning and his ability to perform a variety of tasks makes Blair a valuable contributor to our team. 
Blair is a volunteer fire fighter for Cape Sable Island and enjoys spending time with his family.
Wade Goulden – President

After a 26 year career as a full-time commercial fisherman off the southwest shores of Nova Scotia, Wade turned his interest to boatbuilding.  In his youth, Wade dreamed of one day owning a boatshop that would produce some of the finest built boats in the business.  That dream became a reality when he opened Apple Island Marine in 1999.  Hard work, integrity and innovative thinking coupled with a crew that envisions the same goal has brought his company into the forefront of the boatbuilding industry.  Wade is committed to building commercial and pleasure vessels of premium quality; built solid and beautifully crafted.

Moira Goulden – Business Administrator

Moira joined Apple Island Marine in 2003. 
In addition to providing administrative support, she manages the accounting, marketing and advertising.  Moira created the website and updates its content frequently.  Prior to Apple Island Marine, Moira worked as an Executive Assistant at CGI, an information technology corporation in Canada.  She also has a background in Desktop publishing and has over 25 years experience in Administration.

Corey Perham
Fibreglasser

The high quality of Apple Island Marine’s finished products are due in part to Corey's attention to detail and skill in faring and painting. Corey continues to be innovative - always improving his techniques and quality of finish work. He is in the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Program and is working towards his Boatbuilder diploma.Originally from Newfoundland, Corey enjoys trouting and spending time with his family.

Michael Brennan
Carpenter

Michael joined Apple Island Marine in 2007.
He has over 20 years experience building commercial fishing boats and yachts.
He is a conscientious worker,
pleasant and particular about the quality of his work.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time at home and travelling with his wife and their two children. And when he's not doing that, you might find him trout fishing.
Todd Goulden
Carpenter/Fibreglasser

Todd is the newest member at Apple Island.
He is skilled at fibreglassing and carpentry, but is also mechanically inclined.

In his free time Todd likes to travel, enjoys woodworking and fixing old cars.
